Defining Skin After Hours

FAQ and Tattoo Aftercare

Proper tattoo aftercare is essential to insuring a proper healing process, resulting in optimum tattoo results. Now the tattoo is in your hands, care for it properly. Our artist will bandage your tattoo, immediately after the tattooing procedure is completed. Leave the bandage on for 1-2 hours. The tattoo will bleed, and this is a completely normal part of the process. After a couple hours, remove the bandage and begin your aftercare routine. Your tattoo is an open wound and should be treated as such in order to prevent infection.

We have two methods of healing, click here to learn more.

We recommend waiting at least a month after a new tattoo before you get back in the pool or hit the beach. Chemicals, bacteria, and sand could all be a threat to your new tattoo. If you can't avoid the water, we suggest using a waterproof patch to cover your new tattoo.

Tattoo prices vary according to the size and tattoo designs. A more complex design will cost more than a simpler one and you will also need to factor in size and placement. Since there are so many factors that go into pricing a tattoo, the best thing to do is to ask. All of our artist handle their own pricing, so its best to communicate with them via email.

You must be 18 or older to get tattooed at Defining Skin.

Ariana Grande’s Palm Tattoo

Ariana Grande recently got a tattoo to celebrate release of her latest single, “7 Rings.” Ariana got the tattoo in Japanese and it turns out… the tattoo translates to “BBQ grill,” not “7 Rings.” Even when Ariana went to fix the tattoo, with help from a tutor, it still is wrong. Her palm now says “BBQ grill finger.” You win some, you lose some?

This is the best shop in Ohio. Will is a true artist. Great to work with and be worked on by. Almost 9 hours and I even feel asleep because I was so comfortable. I will recommend Will Allen and this shop to everyone. Not to mention I've had so many compliments on my Darth Vader tattoo already it's amazing. - Michael Solomon

Great shop. Had a sleeve done by Parker, very happy with how it turned out and couldn't reccomend him enough. - Uiri Priest
